How can you bring happiness to your online booking experience? That’s a question we’re constantly thinking about at Triptease. So much so that we decided to join forces with our partner SHR to figure it out. The best part? We’ll be sharing the answer at a free workshop at ITB in Berlin next week. All you need to do is register for the session and head to our stand (no 100, hall 8.1) for 11am on March 7th.
The workshop is part of a series we’ll be hosting with some of our most valued partners during ITB. There are six in total on a wide range of topics, including online distribution, metasearch and booking engines. Head to the registration page to find out more and sign up.
In the meantime, here’s a few words from SHR’s Managing Director for Europe, David Orensanz, who offered up a sneak peek of the workshop he’ll be co-hosting.
His first tip when it comes to improving the online booking experience? “Go beyond a purely ‘mechanical’ booking process and start to emotionally interact with customers from the beginning of the search process by using visual content and other customer reviews. Personalize the offer by using a CRM and let the customer to customise the stay.”
He’s tackling this subject because it has huge consequences. Put simply, a happy online booking experience means a higher conversion rate. The golden rules? “The booking process has to be fast and easy but not boring. It has to be the first step of the hotel experience. The customer has to feel that he or she is not only transacting but already starting a conversation with the hotel about requirements and expectations.”
The question now is how to make that a reality. There’s only one way to find out — by booking your place at the workshop.
