The evolution of the Direct Booking Summit

We first launched Triptease because we recognized hoteliers were facing a major problem that they couldn't tackle alone. Protecting direct business from the growing power of OTAs was our guiding mission when building out our technology.

But we knew that technology alone wouldn't solve the problem - the industry needed a movement.

We created the Direct Booking Summit to bring like-minded hoteliers together free of third parties to share their challenges and solutions. We were blown away by the demand for our launch event in London, and even had to find a bigger venue to squeeze everyone in! The buzz in the room was incredible and we knew we had created something special.

Since then, we’ve taken the Summit around the globe. From London to Washington D.C, Barcelona to New York, Amsterdam to Dallas, and in one week’s time, our first ever Asia-Pacific edition - which is shaping up to be our biggest launch to date!

The Direct Booking Summit has time and again brought best-in-class speakers to the stage to share advice, guidance, and real-life case studies of successful direct booking strategies.

We understand, however, that each hotel has individual challenges and unique resources available. Simply, one size does not fit all.

To ensure every hotelier gets the opportunity to deep dive into the topics most suitable for their role and size, we’re taking the Summit to the next level with the introduction of a streamed agenda across two full days.

“A streamed agenda involves running different sessions at the same time to allow delegates the flexibility to participate in the most relevant discussions to them,” says Triptease's Head of Events, Anastasia Reshetnikova. “So we might run a session on independent hotel branding at the same time as a workshop on managing wholesale distribution, for example. This allows us to offer a greater breadth of content and gives our attendees the opportunity to pick and choose the talks most appropriate to their field.”
